Paul Loya Gallery is pleased to present People Who Need People, a group exhibition curated by

Littleton Odom. This exhibition features four painters, Ain Cocke, Danny Fox, Laura Krifka, and John

Millei, all of whom approach figurative painting with their own motives, nuances, and vision. These

four artists range vastly in concept and execution, yet together create a hyper-current survey of “the

faces” of contemporary portraiture.

Despite their differences, all four artist however share one commonality: Whether born-and-raised

here or transplanted later in life, all artist have called Southern California home.

Within the often heavy handed vortex of hyper conceptual contemporary art, this show exists as a

testament to two simple ideas: Excellence in painting and the evergreen beauty of humankind.
