Represented Artist

Danny Simon

Taking imagery from what inspires him from his daily life and creates collages, illustrations and photographs. Late sixties Bill Graham poster typography along with images from National Geographic taken out of context, create a surreal, yet humerous juxtaposition. The bright colored background attracts you to the piece but upon further observation you begin to lose yourself in the odd character’s Simon has created. He begins his process by basing his larger scale pieces from random doodles in his sketch book and begins the process of layering tongue & cheek phrases and magazine cut outs.

His final product is a glimpse into the mind of Simon and a reflection of his personality.
